TORONTO – Wi-Fi is now available in Wellesley Station.

The TTC announced Monday that the transit system’s free wireless Internet network has been expanded to Wellesley — the fourth subway station to get Wi-Fi.

Riders can also log on to the Internet with their mobile devices at Bloor-Yonge, St. George and Bay stations.

TTC officials stressed Monday that the service, provided by BAI Canada, “comes at no cost to the TTC or Toronto taxpayers.”

Work is being done now to get Wi-Fi up and running at College, Dundas and Union stations, according to the TTC.

The TTC hopes to have all 17 stations in the downtown subway loop — plus Spadina Station — equipped with Wi-Fi before next summer’s Pan Am Games.

All subway stations are expected to have Wi-Fi in the next three years.
